Leather Obsession

I really like working with this swanky "leather" medium on my new cuff bracelets. This one is an ode to summer, a sort of abstract silver starfish. I'm thinking "summer night out on the town" with this one.

Of course, I had to try black leather too. I love this black "leather" cuff that is bursting with rhinestones. Bling Bling, girls! I'm thinking LBD (little black dress).

Summer Thunder Boomers!

Last night we had one of those hot summer night thunder storms that shook the whole house!  I love those, they are both scary and interesting at the same time. We even lost power which is very cool until the the electronics in the house won't be quiet trying to alert us to the power outage. Things start beeping and buzzing!

We sure did need the rain, but it didn't cool our southern summer temperatures down at all!

If you get caught in one of those summer afternoon thunder boomers, make sure your have your umbrella with you!  Carolina Clover is now carrying a very sweet line of monogrammed umbrellas with so many colors you can match every outfit!

Here are a few of our new monogrammed umbrella styles!

It is HOT out there!

My girls and I jumped in the car after leaving the pool today (where we totally failed at staying cool) and the thermometer in the car read 108 degrees!!!!! Ugh.

I LLLLLOOOOVVVE THE SOUTH,
BUT DANG,
IT IS GOING TO BE ONE HOT SUMMER!!!!!

So to stay cool out there and to serve your friends and neighbors up one cool drink, I've added these oh so cute monogrammed party buckets!

Ice down your drinks, store your pool towels, fill them with snacks and juice boxes for the next playdate or use them inside the house to store toys, shoes or magazines.

The ideas are endless and so is the season for these buckets. When summer is over, use it around the house!  In the summer I use mine for icing down drinks, in the fall it is filled with my smores fixings for a quick dessert by the chimnea, and in the winter I use it to store my newspaper by my fireplace.  Check out http://www.carolinaclover.com for your bucket.

Do your kids fight over beach towels? Mine do, and I hope I'm not the only mom out there with this problem. That's why I've given them a beach towel with their name on it! No more fighting over towels! It's funny, they also use them to save their "spot", and their "snack", and their "stuff" putting it all on this beach towel at the pool.  Order yours by checking out http://www.carolinaclover.com.

Stay cool everybody!

I Heart Boutiques

We just returned from our annual family vacation in Hilton Head, South Carolina. If you've never been, it is like no other beach location on the east coast.  You must visit once! Once was never enough for our family, we've been going back to Hilton Head Island for over 10 years. Here's a pic of "some" of the charm...

(This is not my pic, but one from Trip Advisor)

This pic shows the Spanish Moss hanging from a live oak, palmettos grow wild here, and palm trees galore! Bursting with southern charm!

There is some unique boutique shopping too, so my girls and I set out one day and hit up our favorite boutiques. At "Fresh Produce" in Colginy Plaza I discovered these really unique glass belt buckles by a local artisan, I thought you might think they were unique too so here is a pic and a link to her site...
Toni Chirico

Support your local boutiques and the ones you discover while traveling, they in turn support local arts and other small businesses--and you'll always discover something unique too :)

New Spring and Summer Cuff Bracelets

I'm having a great time designing my new cuff bracelets, discovering cute summer fabrics, great features, and adding them to my collection.  I have inadvertently made one in every color for myself, I've "road tested" them for comfort and durability, and managed to load others into the Etsy Market Place for sale.  I'm really fond of the rhinestone ones!  Sparkle bling! They run about $25-$30 in my Etsy Shop, other's are priced below $20 and all are branded with the Carolina Clover design logo.
